Job summary

Silverado Hospice is hiring an RN On-Call to provide after-hours support, ensuring timely assessments and continuity of care for hospice patients and families. You will lead with clinical expertise in a mission-driven environment and collaborate across teams to deliver dignified, patient-centered care.

The role requires an active RN license, at least 1 year of nursing experience, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid state license.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Hospice experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must clear background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours based on needs.
• Comfortable working around animals and pets.

Responsibilities

• Perform after-hours nursing evaluations and assessments.
• Monitor for signs of discomfort and take prompt action.
• Update and implement plans of care; provide caregiver instruction.
• Submit documentation within 24 hours of visits.
• Coordinate services across care settings to ensure quality.
• Follow and adjust approved care plans; communicate with physicians.
