Job summary

Compassus is seeking an On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after-hours patient care and weekend coverage. You will build trusting relationships with patients and families, assess comfort needs, and empower caregivers with practical at-home care guidance.

A valid RN license, CPR/BCLS, and driver’s license are required, with hospice experience preferred. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive onboarding, and benefits, plus generous PTO and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state you work.
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse; hospice experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice patient care after-hours and weekends as needs arise.
• Build trusting, compassionate relationships with patients and families.
• Educate caregivers on at-home care and comfort measures.
• Support patients and families to maintain maximum comfort and coping for after-hours emergencies.
• Flex your schedule to meet agency-staffing needs; typical shifts include weekends or seven days on/ seven days off.
