Job summary

CONAM Management Corporation in Indio, CA is seeking a Business Manager (Assistant Community Manager) for Arroyo Crossing I & II to support on-site accounting and leasing, acting as PIC when the Community Manager is absent.

This full-time role offers full benefits and focuses on LIHTC / Section 8 properties, occupancy management, resident services, and a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in affordable apartment communities.
• LIHTC and Section 8 experience required.
• Strong leasing and financial reporting knowledge.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and rent payments.
• Support asset management with budgets, financial reports, and cost controls.
• Oversee leasing from inquiry to move-in and ensure a positive resident experience.
• Maintain accurate resident files and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with marketing to fill vacancies and achieve high occupancy.
• Coordinate resident events and community relations.
• Act as person-in-charge in the Community Manager’s absence.
• Perform general office duties and respond to resident inquiries.
