CONAM Management Corporation is seeking a Business Manager (Assistant Property Manager) for the Paseo La Paz community in San Ysidro, CA. This role blends on-site accounting and leasing duties with acting as person-in-charge in the Community Manager's absence.

You'll maintain resident files, process payments, assist with budgets and reports, and support leasing efforts to sustain high occupancy while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of affordable property management experience.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of leasing, financial reporting and resident services.
• Ability to maintain high occupancy and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations: payables, receivables, rents.
• Support asset management: budgets, reports, cost control.
• Oversee leasing: inquiries to move-ins for vacant apartments.
• Maintain resident files; ensure compliance with policies.
• Assist marketing and advertising to fill vacancies.
• Ensure maximum occupancy and handle applications.
• Handle resident relations and provide service.
• Document move-ins/outs; enforce housing guidelines.
• Assist with scheduling, inquiries, and resident communications.
• Prepare for person-in-charge role in manager's absence.
