Job summary

CONAM Management Corporation is seeking a knowledgeable Business Manager for Shadow Canyon in Hemet, CA. The role combines on-site accounting and leasing responsibilities and serves as PIC in the Community Manager's absence.

The position is full-time with a comprehensive benefits package. Pay range is $25.00–$26.00 per hour, reflecting 1–2 years of relevant experience in multi-family property management.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of conventional/luxury property management experience.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of day-to-day multi-family operations (leasing, reporting, resident services).
• Track record of maintaining high occupancy in apartment communities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with residents, vendors and team.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Yardi and MRI experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations: accounts payable/receivable and rent processing.
• Support Community Manager with budgets, financial reports, and cost controls.
• Oversee leasing from inquiry to move-in to ensure a smooth resident experience.
• Maintain accurate resident files and adherence to company policies.
• Assist with marketing to fill vacancies and maximize occupancy.
• Handle resident relations and provide excellent customer service.
• Document leases and move-in/move-out records; enforce policies and housing laws.
• Perform general office tasks and coordinate resident events as needed.
• Be prepared to assume person-in-charge role when Community Manager is absent.
• Other duties as assigned.
