Job summary

Fairstead seeks a Community Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and on-site compliance at a property. You will manage leasing, staff, and resident relations while coordinating with the Compliance Department to ensure regulatory adherence.

The role requires strong leadership, HUD/LIHTC knowledge, and collaboration with maintenance and construction teams to keep buildings compliant, safe, and well-maintained. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience supervising a team.
• COS or CPO certification required or preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in Affordable Housing.
• Experience with EIV; familiarity with Yardi and RealPage preferred; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensures leasing and compliance with HUD, Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA.
• Maintains knowledge of HUD 4350.3 Handbook.
• Prepares responses to regulatory agencies with Compliance.
• Implements intervention strategies for tenants non-compliant with lease terms.
• Oversees annual MOR, LIHTC, and other regulatory reviews.
• Monitors arrears, collections, and eviction processes.
• Oversees maintenance, vendor bids, and contract quotes.
• Conducts unit inspections and bi-annual walk-throughs.
• Attends monthly financial catch-up meetings and monitors budgets.
