Job summary

Chromalloy in Tampa, FL is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and core components per engineering specifications. You’ll read drawings, follow work instructions, and sign off production routers while working on a 2nd shift with a $2.00 shift differential.

Responsibilities include defect removal, quality inspection, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Prior manufacturing/assembly exposure is preferred; strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions.
• 3+ months of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience preferred.
• Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
