Job summary

Chromalloy in the United States (Tampa, FL) is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and core components used in aerospace parts. You will follow engineering sketches and work instructions to ensure quality before assembly, and you will read procedures for precise fabrication.

This role operates on a 4th shift, Fri-Sunday 6:00a-6:00p with a $3.00 shift differential. Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork is essential in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• English reading, writing, and instruction comprehension.
• 3+ months of manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
