Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and related components used in aerospace parts manufacturing. This role follows engineering specifications and customer requirements to ensure quality and on-time production.

You will read engineering sketches, assemble wax patterns, cores, and mold components, and use tools like hot irons and scalpels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• 3+ months of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience preferred.
• Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure quality before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
