Job summary

Chromalloy in Florida is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and related components used in aerospace part manufacturing. You will follow engineering specifications, standard work, and customer requirements to ensure quality and on-time production.

The role involves reading sketches, assembling cores and mold components, using various tools, inspecting patterns for defects, and signing off production routers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 3+ months of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
