Job summary

Chromalloy Corporation in Tampa, FL is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns used in aerospace parts. You will follow engineering specs and work instructions to ensure quality and on-time production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, clear English communication, and attention to detail. Training is provided; shift is 5th shift with potential overtime and a $3.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clear English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
• 3+ months manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience preferred.
• Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
