Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns for aerospace components. You will follow engineering specs, ensure quality, and maintain on-time production in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English communication skills, and at least 3 months of related experience. Expect a 4th shift (Fri-Sun) with a $3.00 shift differential and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
• 3+ months of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or related experience preferred.
• Prior aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
