Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an early career Systems Engineer to join the Graphical Flight Plan Server team within Military Avionics Flight Management Applications. You will work on fixed and rotary wing platforms, developing designs, requirements, and verification tests.

You will partner with a small team, write tests, and participate in the full software lifecycle from design to release, while expanding avionics expertise and collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Experience with design, requirements development, and verification of deliverable software.
• Experience with Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and requirements for fixed and rotary wing platforms as part of the FPS team.
• Create test cases and procedures to verify software implementation.
• Collaborate with agile team members on overall design processes.
• Communicate plans and status on assigned stories to the team.
• Coordinate with program-focused engineering teams to develop required functionality for military customers.
• Champion knowledge sharing and mentor team members.
