Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids is seeking students and early-career engineers to join its aerospace teams. You'll work onsite with Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems used in military helicopters and planes.

The program emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and hands-on learning as you apply C, C++, ADA, and Python while gaining knowledge in systems engineering and avionics.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
  • Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems.
  • Integrate soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment delivering quality products to internal and external customers.
