Aerospace Systems Engineer I at Honeywell Aerospace will contribute to the development of flight-critical actuation systems, translating electronic commands into precise mechanical motion. You will work with mechanical, electrical, controls, software and test engineers across a full development lifecycle in Tempe, AZ on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline (engineering, sciences, technology, math).
• 0–2 years of engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, research, or academic projects.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes and aerospace system development.
• Experience with modeling/simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Support development and integration of aerospace electro-mechanical actuation systems.
• Assist with system requirements, documentation, and verification activities.
• Develop models and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink and related tools.
• Perform engineering analyses to evaluate system performance and functionality.
• Support integration of motors, sensors, controllers, and embedded systems.
• Participate in laboratory, HIL, environmental, and qualification testing.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and document findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development and testing.
