RTX is seeking a Systems Engineering Co-op in the Avionics Boeing Platforms department in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to create high‑integrity avionics display solutions for commercial aircraft and participate across the development lifecycle.

The role emphasizes requirements analysis, modeling, integration, and flight‑critical testing, with on‑site work in Cedar Rapids. Eligibility requires a STEM degree pursuit and relevant coursework or projects.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to design, model, and integrate avionics display solutions for commercial air transports.
• Develop and execute comprehensive, system‑level operational test procedures for flight deck display systems.
• Design, code, and test software utilities and automation scripts to support system integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Participate in requirements capture, system architecture trade studies, and traceability analyses across the engineering lifecycle.
• Support hardware‑software bench integration, troubleshooting, and anomaly investigation in specialized avionics test laboratories.
• Apply commercial aviation development standards and processes, such as ARINC661, ARINC664, and ARP4754.
