Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids seeks a full-time engineering co-op for January–July/Aug. You will join a team designing displays for commercial and military avionics, blending classroom theory with hands-on engineering in a mentorship-driven environment.

You will gain exposure to display and optical technologies, engineering design processes, and avionics standards, while collaborating with engineers to tackle real-world challenges and implement design changes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering and enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience working on collaborative projects and teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, Jan–July/August; students may take a semester off from coursework.
• Merge theoretical knowledge with practical engineering applications.
• Design and develop displays for Commercial and Military Avionics.
• Work with engineers to develop displays for avionics applications.
• Tackle challenges and apply problem-solving in a hands-on environment.
• Create and/or implement changes to product design or development processes.
