Job summary

RTX, operating Collins Aerospace, seeks a full‑time engineering co‑op in Cedar Rapids, IA. The program runs January through July/August, offering hands‑on experience merging classroom theory with real avionics display development.

You will work with a skilled team on display projects for commercial and military applications, applying problem‑solving and contributing to design and process improvements. Onsite role with relocation eligibility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering and actively enrolled through the internship/co‑op session.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Experience working on collaborative projects and teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Participate in a full-time, Monday–Friday co-op session (January–July/August).
• Merge theoretical knowledge with practical engineering applications through displays design for avionics.
• Collaborate with an outstanding team of engineers on display projects for commercial and military avionics.
• Apply problem-solving in a hands‑on work environment.
• Create or implement changes to product design or development processes.
