Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Opa Locka, FL is seeking a Survey and Repair Technician II to perform overhaul, rework and repair of aircraft equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts with precision tools, and performing tests and calibrations to meet specifications.

Responsibilities include disassembly, repairs, reassembly, and ensuring high-quality return processes. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and be available for 1st shift hours; FAA safety guidelines apply.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred vocational/technical education related to the discipline.
• Ability to work 1st shift: 5:45am - 2:15 pm, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Landing Gear components for damage.
• Record condition and dimensions to determine repair needs.
• Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations.
• Use calibrated precision tools to measure parts.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances.
• Use hand and power tools to remove corrosion per specs.
• Identify units failing tests and perform repairs.
• Complete operation checkouts, disassembly, repairs, reassembly and test calibrations.
