Job summary

RTX's Landing Systems division in Opa Locka, FL is seeking a Survey and Repair technician II to overhaul, rework, and repair aircraft components in a fast-paced environment. The role is 100% onsite at the Opa Locka facility with a 2nd shift schedule (2:45pm-11:15pm) and first-shift training for 4-8 weeks.

The successful candidate will install bushings and bearings, use precision measuring tools, and perform handling of bush bore operations, ensuring compliance with overhaul manuals and safety

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install bushings, bearings, sleeves, and metal shims according to overhaul specs using hydraulic presses.
• Use close tolerance measuring instruments to assure compliance with CMM specs.
• Operate honing machinery and turret lathe for bearings.
• Perform final inspection and stocking of bushings.
• Execute bush bore functions utilizing light machining.
