Job summary

RTX Corporation’s Collins Aerospace division in Opa Locka, Florida, is seeking a Survey and Repair Technician I for the 2nd shift. This onsite role performs overhaul, rework, and repair of aircraft equipment, following manuals and customer requirements to maintain workflow.

You will inspect landing gear components, assemble parts, calibrate and test to meet specs, and document results. Requires HS diploma; A&P license preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Repairman Certificate and/or A&P license preferred.
• Experience with aircraft components and repair processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Landing Gear components for damage and determine overhaul needs.
• Assemble fabricated parts and units at floor stations per specs.
• Test, calibrate, and diagnose units to meet tolerances and requirements.
• Perform complete operation checkouts, disassembly, repairs, reassembly and tests as needed.
• Follow repair and return processes to ensure quality and short cycle times.
