Job summary

Collins Aerospace, based in Florida, is seeking an onsite technician for maintenance, testing, and component assembly in a repair/overhaul shop environment. The role requires reading and applying technical manuals, performing test and inspection steps, and adhering to FAA/EASA/CAAC data as applicable. Physical work includes lifting.

FAA A&P certification is preferred. Responsibilities include ensuring assembly quality, maintaining test logs, and supporting continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret technical documents/Component Maintenance Manual per FAR 145.155(b), 65.71(a)(2).
• Experience with testing on computerized test stands is preferred.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification (completed or attending) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual handling and maneuvering of large fuel aircraft components.
• Maintain proper segregation and identification of components in progress.
• Comply with FAA/EASA/CAAC data and procedures applicable to the work.
• Perform painting functions including primer/paint applications.
