Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Opa Locka, FL is seeking a Survey and Repair Technician II for the 2nd shift. This onsite role performs overhaul, rework, and repair of aircraft equipment in both standard and non-standard environments to maintain workflow.

The position is 2:45pm-11:15pm, Monday–Friday with overtime as needed. Requires HS diploma, blueprint interpretation, and proficiency with precision measurement tools; SAP experience and honing/turret lathe background are valued.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use all necessary close tolerance measurement instruments with proficiency.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience in honing or turret lathe operation.
• Continuous Improvement training.

Responsibilities

• Install bushings, bearings, sleeves, and metal shims on all aircraft programs according to the overhaul manual specifications, using machinery and hydraulic presses.
• Utilize close tolerance measuring instruments to assure compliance with CMM specifications.
• Operate honing machinery and devices, including mill machinery for swaging of bearings.
• Utilize close tolerance measuring instruments to assure compliance with CMM specifications.
• Perform final inspection and stocking of bushings.
• Execute bush bore functions utilizing light machining. (Lathe/bush work)
