Saab is expanding its West Lafayette, IN facility and seeks 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. You will train team members and contribute to a state-of-the-art production system, with on-site Aerospace structures training academy.

Start date anticipated for early December 2026. Responsibilities include assembling per procedures, supporting continuous improvement, and performing functional tests.

Competenze

• 2+ years of assembly or hand tool experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Follow standardized procedures to maintain quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks; lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends.

Mansioni

• Assemble aircraft fuselage using standardized procedures to meet quality requirements.
• Deliver work according to instructions and support a team-based workflow.
• Contribute to daily continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Handle Class A surfaces, including touch-up painting.
• Sign off when work is complete according to specification.
• Assist in training and knowledge transfer to new employees.
• Maintain a positive, productive work environment aligned with company values.
