Saab's advanced manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN seeks 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. Training provided on-site through our aerospace structures academy, with start in early December 2026.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of assembly or hand tool experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage per standardized procedures.
• Train new team members and share knowledge.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies and sign off per specs.
