Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk for the U.S. Air Force. You will assemble aircraft structures, train new teammates, and participate in our state-of-the-art production system, with paid on-site training through the Aerospace structures training academy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft structure on the aft fuselage per standards and procedures.
• Train new team members as part of the Aerospace structures academy.
• Support daily improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Handle Class A surfaces including touch-up painting and sign-off completion.
