Job summary

RTX is seeking motivated software engineers for a Collins Flight Deck integration team in Cedar Rapids. The role offers hands-on experience across the software lifecycle—from requirements and architecture through integration, verification, and delivery.

As part of a collaborative agile team, you will work with experienced engineers to develop software based on high-level system behaviors, decompose requirements, and support architecture development and verification activities.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM, and actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience in C/C++ and Python.
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver avionics software solutions.
• Support the development, analysis, and refinement of software requirements and interfaces.
• Contribute to software verification and testing strategies to ensure functional and performance requirements are met.
• Participate in technical reviews of software requirements, design documents, and test procedures.
