RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer Co-Op in Cedar Rapids to help ensure mission-critical avionics software performs reliably in real-world environments. You’ll develop requirements, tests, and verification for software and system integration, while building automated test scripts in Python.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll refine requirements and contribute to robust software solutions, gaining hands-on experience in aerospace engineering and Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience scripting with Python (or similar).
• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in STEM and enrolled through internship/co-op.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure mission-critical avionics software performs in real-world settings.
• Develop requirements, tests, and verification for software and systems integration.
• Create and maintain automated/semi-automated test scripts in Python.
• Verify software builds in lab environments and support formal verification events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and design solutions.
