Job summary

RTX is seeking an intern/co-op in Cedar Rapids, IA to collaborate with Systems and Software engineers on flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft. You will design, develop and test software features, contributing to robust, timely products for internal and external customers.

You will learn in a hands-on environment, expanding knowledge in Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems, while showcasing leadership and proactive collaboration as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python.
• Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes.
• Integrate soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment that provides quality and timely products to internal and external customers.
