Job summary

RTX is seeking an enthusiastic engineer to join the avionics team in Cedar Rapids. You will work with experienced engineers to define high-level system behavior, decompose requirements, support architecture development, and contribute to verification activities.

You will collaborate across software, systems, and test disciplines, helping refine requirements, interfaces, and test procedures while learning complex aerospace systems under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer, Software Eng, CS, Math or related STEM.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated collaboration in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn complex systems.
• Ability to own assigned work and deliver quality results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop avionics system solutions.
• Support development, analysis and refinement of system requirements and interfaces.
• Contribute to verification planning and test development to satisfy requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and troubleshooting in labs and development environments.
• Communicate status, issues, and solutions clearly to team members.
