Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering to contribute across the cabin systems market. You will design software solutions for complex systems, code new features, and participate in testing and integration across multiple products.

You will work with embedded C/C++, Python, and GUI elements, supporting feature development from design to validation, and collaborating with teams to bridge consumer electronics with aerospace applications onsite at Collins

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of software engineering experience; or Master's with 3+ years.
3+ years of experience with DO-178 avionics.
3+ years of experience with C/C++.
3+ years of experience with Python.
Non-US person must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Design software solutions for complex cabin systems across the product life cycle.
Develop features for existing product lines and write code for new features.
Debug issues in the lab and ensure code meets requirements.
Create and execute tests; participate in code peer reviews.
Support product integration and onsite collaboration.
