Job summary

Corporate Resources of Illinois, Ltd. in Buffalo Grove, IL, is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to back daily sales operations, process customer orders in SAP, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth order flow from quote to shipment.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, inventory, and shipping teams, respond to inquiries, and help resolve issues while delivering dependable support to the sales department in a fast-paced aerospace/industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in sales support, sales coordination, order management, or sales administration.
• Hands-on SAP experience is required, including processing sales orders in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience supporting a sales department and coordinating with internal teams.
• Understanding order fulfillment, inventory, shipping, and delivery processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Aerospace, industrial, technical manufacturing, or engineered products experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter, process, and maintain customer sales orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Review orders for pricing, quantities, product specifications, and delivery requirements.
• Process order changes, cancellations, and updates while keeping sales representatives informed.
• Assist with preparing quotes, purchase orders, order confirmations, and other sales documentation.
• Track open orders and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Provide day-to-day support to the sales team, helping manage customer requests and account-related activities.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales records, and order documentation.
• Communicate order updates, delays, and potential issues to the appropriate sales representatives and customers.
• Assist with resolving order discrepancies and customer service issues.
• Work closely with manufacturing, production planning, inventory, shipping, and distribution teams to coordinate order fulfillment.
• Monitor order progress and communicate potential delays or supply issues.
• Coordinate with internal departments to confirm product availability, lead times, and shipment schedules.
• Help resolve discrepancies involving orders, inventory, pricing, and shipping documentation.
• Maintain accurate SAP records to support efficient order processing and reporting.
• Maintain organized sales documentation, customer records, and order files.
• Generate order reports and assist with tracking sales activity and order status.
• Support internal processes related to customer accounts, order management, and sales operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve order accuracy, communication, and overall workflow efficiency.
