Job summary

Textron Systems is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager (ATAC) to lead the QA department, ensure compliance with FAA and related standards, and coordinate with maintenance leadership and subcontractors. The role reports to the Director of Maintenance and emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The individual will supervise QA staff, develop GOPs, and manage non-conforming products, audits, and safety inquiries across ATAC operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of aircraft maintenance management and/or quality assurance experience.
• FAA A&P license required; Inspection Authorization preferred.
• Strong supervisory and written/verbal communication with ability to manage direct reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective supervision and management of all Quality Assurance efforts in support of company requirements; throughout ATAC-Adversary Center of Excellence.
• Organize job assignments and priorities for Quality Assurance department personnel.
• Lead the QA department to ensure maintenance functions comply with FAA, Dept of War, OEM, NAVAIR, and internal QC/Safety Management System requirements.
• Manage development and review of Maintenance Policies and Ground Operating Procedures (GOPs).
• Coordinate with Quality Control to aid QA audits.
• Act as primary contact for safety-related technical inquiries within maintenance.
• Manage quality-related issues with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage non-conforming product processes with Quality Control and suppliers/vendors.
• Prepare performance assessments of managed personnel.
• Any additional responsibilities per Director of Maintenance.
