Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Buyer to obtain the best quality, service, and value for products through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. You will identify supplier needs, initiate purchase orders, and arrange delivery for a range of parts, equipment, and materials.

The role covers evaluating suppliers, negotiating terms, and maintaining lead times, while supporting cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the procurement function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing and negotiating methods and general business operations.
• Familiarity with EDI or MRP systems.
• Ability to analyze data and negotiate effectively to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and select suppliers by researching parts, equipment, and services.
• Attend supplier site visits and evaluate production capability and delivery.
• Prepare RFQs and issue purchase orders with negotiated terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and highlight potential risks to production.
• Resolve discrepancies and facilitate supplier-manufacturer conferences.
• Negotiate price, delivery, quality, and service to optimize total cost.
• Provide parts information and respond to requests promptly.
• Prepare reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
