Job summary
Parker Aerospace in Irvine, CA is seeking a Purchasing Specialist within the Services & Support Operations division to secure the best overall quality, service and value through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, negotiation and supplier management. You will partner with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to identify business needs and coordinate timely delivery of high-value parts.
The role requires strong knowledge of FAR/DFAR, experience supporting small business subcontracting
Qualifications
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements and subcontract program compliance.
- Experience with small business subcontracting plans, ISRs, SSRs, and related reporting.
- Ability to identify suppliers, prepare SOWs, and develop bidder lists.
Responsibilities
- Support subcontract program compliance activities and supplier management.
- Investigate potential suppliers and evaluate production capability and delivery performance.
- Negotiate terms and administer procurement contracts to meet schedule and cost goals.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement with key suppliers.
