Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Six or more years of purchasing experience.
• CPM or APICS certification desired.
• Knowledge of purchasing and negotiating methods.
• Experience with ERP / MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and arrange delivery.
• Conduct supplier site visits and evaluate capabilities and performance.
• Evaluate proposals and negotiate price, delivery, quality and service.
• Issue purchase orders reflecting negotiated terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions.
• Lead or participate in special projects and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with government and industry procurement requirements.
• Prepare complex reports and analyses on spend and trends.
