Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Naples, FL is seeking a procurement professional to manage supplier relationships, bid processes, and purchasing for a broad range of parts and materials.

You will identify suppliers, issue purchase orders, negotiate terms, monitor performance, and contribute to cost reductions through continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, teamwork, and compliance with aerospace procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; entry level with direction.
• Knowledge of purchasing and negotiating methods and business operations.
• Familiarity with EDI or MRP systems and standard software.
• Ability to analyze data, calculate figures, and develop recommendations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on capability and performance.
• Conduct supplier site visits and assess production capability and delivery.
• Purchase parts and materials by issuing POs with approved suppliers.
• Evaluate bids and negotiate price, delivery, and terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Handle claims, returns, and engineering changes with suppliers.
• Provide procurement information and summarize trends in reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and compliance in aerospace procurement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet supply needs.
