Job summary

Janicki Industries is seeking a Production Lead to supervise teams across composites, infusion, assembly, welding, and related manufacturing processes in our Bellingham facility. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and ongoing training to complete shift work efficiently.

You will read drawings, assign tasks, monitor progress, and enforce 5S/AS9100 standards while collaborating with supervision and engineering to troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical certificate or bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Minimum one year manufacturing experience.
• Experience in composite or fiberglass fabrication and repair preferred.
• Crane and forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow work orders, blueprints and technical documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Willingness to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more teams in composite fabrication, infusion, assembly, welding, mill operations, metrology, ovens or Waterjet.
• Ensure quality and quantity of work; manage daily shift workload and tasks.
• Train technicians and enforce safety and 5S/AS9100/Nadcap standards.
• Monitor progress, review timecards, and report issues to supervisors.
• Read and interpret drawings and documents; support troubleshooting with engineers.
• Maintain organized work areas and proper use of shop consumables.
