Job summary

Janicki Industries, a leader in advanced engineering and manufacturing, seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to guide a team through complex aerospace projects. You will mentor engineers, oversee design reviews, and ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables while managing costs and customer relationships.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic problem solving, and collaboration with shop floor teams to optimize production and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field is required.
• At least 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Commercial/military aerospace experience is preferred.
• Must have demonstrated leadership experience.
• Understanding of material properties and testing.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials and related testing.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Experience with research, data analysis, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers to execute project scopes.
• Manage projects to deliver technical deliverables within fixed cost and schedule constraints.
• Monitor and report project financial performance.
• Communicate with customers to establish detailed requirements and deliverables, provide status, and discuss risks.
• Lead engineering activities including design reviews and work order preparation.
• Ensure materials are organized and available for manufacturing; monitor purchasing.
• Interact with shop floor to maintain project health and resolve issues.
