Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler II to assemble aerospace components and subassemblies on site. You will work from engineering drawings, wire lists, and schematics, using a range of hand tools and production equipment to meet exacting tolerances.

You will inspect finished work, report defects, and participate in continuous improvement activities while maintaining a clean, organized workstation and adhering to AS9100 quality practices.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related technical training.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics is preferred.
• Prior experience in mechanical assembly or aerospace environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components and subassemblies from drawings and wire lists.
• Use hand tools and production equipment to meet specifications.
• Inspect work using gauges and measurement tools.
• Identify defects and report nonconformances.
