Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring for an onsite assembly role in Simpsonville, SC. You will plan and perform mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection across multiple products.

Requirements include at least 4 years in manufacturing, a high school diploma or technical education, and experience with small hand tools. You will lead junior assemblers and help meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• HS Diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 4 years of experience with mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly processes.
• Prior work experience using small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, and screwdrivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection operations.
• Maintain hourly production to meet daily plans and ensure standard work procedures.
• Determine methods and sequence of assembly operations using production sheets and blueprints.
• Utilize hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, and screwdrivers.
• Provide work leadership to lower-level assemblers by assigning tasks and monitoring results.
• Facilitate meetings to communicate production goals and address challenges.
