Job summary

Bevilacqua Research Corporation is seeking an Aerospace Materials and Processes Engineer to support NASA MSFC programs, ISS, and future space systems. The role focuses on materials engineering analysis, mechanical design, testing, and providing material selection and control expertise for multiple MSFC programs.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, analyzing test data, generating reports, collaborating with design engineers, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure material

Qualifications

  • Degree in Materials, Aerospace or Mechanical from an ABET-accredited university is preferred.
  • Educational requirements may be a PhD with at least 7 years, a Masters with at least 10 years, or a BS with at least 12 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Select appropriate materials for different applications in manufacturing and development processes.
  • Analyze materials test data under different conditions to evaluate performance and safety.
  • Generate detailed reports for material compatibility and compliance with approved processes.
  • Work closely with design engineers to ensure materials meet specifications and NASA standards.
  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to maintain material quality and efficiency.
  • Develop materials usage agreements and material usage lists.
  • Write material control plans and participate in design reviews.
  • Support testbed development, recommend required tests, and report results.
