Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to lead materials management for the SM-3 IIA program. The role is onsite in Tucson and requires 5+ years in supply chain or related fields, with strong project management and supplier negotiation experience. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities include managing forecasts, budgets, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration with IPT and Program team members.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a supply chain role or related role such as Production Control, Operations, Finance or Supplier Engineering

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
• Own Material Forecasts and identification of risks and opportunities.
• Manage material budgets and support EACs.
• Drive Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order placement/management.
• Support supplier negotiations and drive PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives.
• Participate in supplier engagements and review to ensure supplier performance.
• Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
• Generate Supplier Requests for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs).
• Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to the plan.
• Travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be <25%)
