Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) to lead materials management for a DoD-focused program. You will oversee cost, schedule, and quality, interface with internal and external management, and manage supplier performance.

The role emphasizes EVMS/MPP compliance, EAC risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across procurement, engineering, and program offices. Strong leadership and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years.
• EVMS certification is required.
• MPM Level 4 certification is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel pivot tables is preferred.
• Experience with SAP is required and relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly material forecasting via ROMS and MFT tools.
• Manage material budgets and EAC for the program.
• Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
• Plan and execute sourcing decisions and the Make/Buy/Where process.
• Coordinate with Program Office, Production Planning, Engineering, and Quality to align material availability with milestones in SAP/Prism.
• Drive purchase requisition generation and PO management.
• Mitigate supplier performance vulnerabilities and monitor metrics.
• Support proposal activities for material cost and lead times.
