Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, Virginia, invites a seasoned Manufacturing Manager to lead shop floor teams, promote manufacturing excellence, and drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery and cash flow.

You will develop and implement lean initiatives, optimize product flow, mentor supervisors, and partner with the plant manager to align goals with business objectives. Travel is required for work-related duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 8 years in manufacturing, 5 years in supervisory role.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Export-controlled data access requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all employees and a clean, safe work environment.
• Improve manufacturing planning, execution, and shop floor discipline.
• Drive operations quality metrics and lean initiatives.
• Lead efforts to remove non-value-added waste and improve product flow.
• Develop and train team leaders and supervisors for growth.
• Promote and implement capacity analysis to drive standard work.
• Drive cost reductions while maintaining on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with plant manager on strategic plans and goals.
• Travel as needed for work-related activities.
