Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in LaPorte, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead day-to-day shop floor operations, drive manufacturing excellence, and improve performance metrics such as quality, productivity, cycle time and delivery.

You will develop leaders, implement lean initiatives, manage budgets, and collaborate with plant management to align with business objectives. The role requires five years in manufacturing, three years in a leadership role, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Five years' work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Three years' work experience in a leadership position in a manufacturing environment.
• Access to export-controlled items; eligibility required.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to manufacturing shop floor teams while promoting manufacturing excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Lead continuous improvement of plant performance metrics (quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery and cash flow).
• Promote safety and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Improve manufacturing planning, execution, and shop floor discipline.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and waste elimination.
• Develop and train leaders, cell facilitators, supervisors and other manufacturing staff.
• Manage department budgets and ensure effective communication with customers and management.
