Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team in Washington. The role leads the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensures stringent quality control, and optimizes supply chain logistics for Production/Operations.

The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage BOMs, disposition non-conformances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to hit rate, quality, and cost targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role: 0-3 years Level 1 Manufacturing Engineer, 3+ years Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer, 5+ years Level 3 Manufacturing Engineer, 8+ years Sr Manufacturing Engineer.
  • 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or otherwise lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Support the industrialization of new products in areas such as solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.
  • Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods to improve efficiency and reliability.
