Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to set operations direction for vehicle architectures and ensure manufacturability from inception. The role supports AI&T and across facilities, partnering with program management and design teams.

Responsibilities include hands-on fabrication planning, producibility assessments, and developing manufacturing artifacts. This role may require relocation and travel up to 20% with relocation provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and strong lifecycle knowledge.
  • Experience leading manufacturing solutions and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive producibility and design-for-excellence objectives.
  • CAD and PLM tool experience to define and manage manufacturing plans.
  • Excellent communication with senior leadership; willingness to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the manufacturing technical focal for subsystems/AI&T activities and establish manufacturing plans.
  • Plan for and support builds of demonstrators, test articles, and prototype hardware with hands-on support.
  • Drive DFX, conduct producibility assessments, and develop roadmaps for gaps.
  • Develop artifacts such as Production Readiness Levels, build strategies, and tooling designs.
  • Collaborate with PM, Design Engineering, and Operations to mitigate risks and influence decisions.
  • Mentor engineers and foster integrity and continuous improvement.
