Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Operations team. You will lead design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure quality control, and optimize supply chain logistics for Production/Operations.

Relocation is available, with multiple shifts and Space Coast, FL location. The role emphasizes design-for-manufacturability, DFM/ DFA/ DFT, development of manufacturing docs, and collaboration with engineering and QA to reduce costs and accelerate timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
• 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions.
• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or asylee.
• Able to work second shift and flex shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new tank assemblies including welding, inspection, proof test, surface coatings, and integration.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes supporting Blue Origin’s mission.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
• Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; implement corrective actions to enhance reliability.
