Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement efficient manufacturing systems within Operations, focusing on quality control and supply chain optimization in Production/Operations. The role involves collaborating across teams to reduce costs and improve timelines, using advanced manufacturing techniques to drive aerospace innovation.

The successful candidate will lead DFMA initiatives, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
  • 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve manufacturing risks and drive process improvements.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. for refugee or asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Take an assigned crew-systems product from concept through production readiness, planning PRRs and assessing MRLs/PRLs.
  • Provide DFMA support, partnering with design engineers to influence producibility.
  • Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions and process diagrams.
  • Support build of development and flight units, resolving process and hardware issues on the floor.
